Friday 15th August - Day One
|
Day One of the athletics at Beijing started well with Rebecca Wardell running well in the 100m Hurdles and continued a good day with a PB in the High Jump. Next up for Wardell is the Shot Put and the 200m.
Kim Smith is also in action on the first day in the 10,000m final along with Nick Willis (3:36) who easily qualified for the Semi-Finals with a second place finish in his heat.
Beatrice Faumuina did not advance to the Final round with a 12th place finish in her group and 28th overall.
Saturday 16th August - Day Two

Day Two had Wardell in action as she finished up in 23rd place in the Heptathlon with a series of solid results in all events. Valerie Vili easily qualified in the Shot Put with the best attempt in the field.
Sunday 17th August - Day Three
|
Day Three has
Nina Rillstone ran awesome to finish 16th in a tough field and only two minutes off her PB with Liza Hunter-Galvan also running strong for 35th, only four minutes from her best. on Sunday morning and then Willis will line up in the Semi-Final of the 1500m in the evening.
Monday 18th August - Day Four

Day Four starts with
James Dolphin ran 20.98 in the
200m Heats which failed to qualify him for the quarter-finals.
Tuesday 19th August - Day Five
|
Day Five saw
Nick Willis claim Bronze in the Men's 1500m Final in 3:34.16.
Kim Smith did not compete in the Women's 5000m Heats.
Wednesday 20th August - Day Six
|
Day Six and
Adrian Blincoe will finally be on the track competing in the 5000m Nick Willis has withdrawn from the 800m.
Thursday 21st August - Day Seven
|
Day Seven will have
Stuart Farquhar, the last of the Kiwi's to compete, with the Men's Javelin kicking off with qualifying in the morning session. Nick Willis has the 800m Semi today also.
Friday 22nd August - Day Eight
|
On Day Eight if qualified Kim Smith has the 5,000m Final.
Saturday 23rd August - Day Nine
|
On Day Nine if Qualified Nick Willis has the 800m Final, Stuart Farquhar the Final round of the Javelin and Adrian Blincoe the 5,000m Final.

Courtesy of Nick Willis we had a pair of his spikes from the 2007 World Championships in Osaka to give away. ROMPER is the winner of Nick Willis' spikes with a guess of 3:34.17, only .01 of a second away from Nick's finishing time.
