The confirmed heat sheets have been released for the USATF OXY High Performance meeting to be held at Occidental College in Los Angeles on Friday night. In his first race on US soil Hamish Carson has set a new PB and broken the 3:40 barrier for the first time with his eighth placing in the Tuppeny Invite 1500m at the Swarthmore Last Chance meet. Carson's time of 3:38.04 is just outside the IAAF 'B' standard of 3:38.0 and edging closer to the Athletics NZ Olympic standard of 3:35.5. Nick Willis has been confirmed as the pace maker, and Hamish Carson as a starter, for a quality 1500m race which is scheduled as part of the Swarthmore College Last Chance meeting tomorrow. Jake and Zane Robertson race fast 1500m in Kitale

Zane and Jake Robertson both competed in the Athletics Kenya meeting in Kitale on the weekend. Running in Heat 1 of the 1500m Zane lead the field before fading to fourth place in 3:55 with Jake winning Heat 5 in 3:51. "This is my first victory in Kenya and I am delighted about it because I am building up for Olympics.
