Just an update. After a 2007-2013 move to Australia.
I have been working in the Philippines from 2013 until present.
I first started off working for the Philippine Government as a sports consultant and talent scout for the Philippine Sports Commission. In 2015 i was appointed by the Phil Track and Field present as Competitions and High Performance Manager.
During this time I discovered Eric Shauwn Cray a Filipino-American who went onto reduce the Philippine Records in the 100 from 10.45 to 10.25 and 400 Hurdles from 51.26 to 49.12 over the course of 2 years. He also had the 100 Hurdles record from 14.49 to 14.17 until his record was broken by a local athlete in the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore. Eric also set the 60, 60 Hurdles and 200 Indoor records. He won the 100m and 400 Hurdles at the SEA Games his win in the 100 Mens was the first in the 40 year history of the bi-annual SEA Games event for the Philippines. He also qualified for Rio in the 400 Hurdles.
As well as Cray another athlete I help scout Kayla Anise Richardson lowered the Phi Junior record to 11.65 and was able to make it to the second round in the 200m at the World Youths in Columbia. Richardson surprised everyone from a slow start to a come from behind victory in a dead heat over the Thai in 11.76 at the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore. She became the youngest women ever at 17 to win the 100m Dash at the SEA Games.
I am also Team Manager for Phil Airforce who won the overall title and mens title at the National Champs. I am currently working on sponsors and we are aiming to do the ‘Total Sweep’ which is win Mens, Womens, Junior Mens and Junior Womens a feat not achieved in the events 90 year history.
As for me I stopped competitive running in 2013 at the age of 29, to focus on sports management and do the odd bit of coaching on the side in sprints but lately have been focused on middle distance runners.
I also have this website for Philippine Athletics
