USATF Indoor Nationals Disqualification controversy

    Some of you may have heard about the controversy with the protest, appeal, DQ and DQ reversal after the Women’s 3000m Champs at the USATF Nationals, but if not, here is a link to the full story:

    I thought it relevant to bring up here for discussion as the major fallout from the whole thing is that it appears that the USATF breached their own rules regarding protests and appeals and now refuses to admit that they did anything wrong. There is a ground swell of dissent within the athlete community in the US for USATF to explain what has happened and sort out the failures – but that is unlikely to happen.

    Here is the open letter  from the TnF Athletes Association requesting an explanation,  and here is the Change.org petition started by athletes to request the USATF produce the new video evidence that was used to overturn the appeals committee decision.
