Stuart Payne will be at the finishline at Akaroa selling copies of  his book on the history of the Takahe to Akaroa Relay. It is a must read for all Kiwi distance running enthusiasts

The books will be on sale for $15 in Akaroa at the same place as the After Party tickets, but we have one copy of this book to give away here.

Many of us have our own stories of hard Akaroa laps, changeover shenanigans or unbelievable performances that we like to share.

Contest Rules:

• Post about your favourite Takahe to Akaroa Relay story in this thread
• The story must at least loosely be related to running the Takahe to Akaroa Relay (This to be determined by the NZRun Team)
• The story must be at least partly true, although we do allow some embellishment.
• Extra credit given to stories based on age, humour and general meatiness involved.
• The NZRun team will choose and announce the winner on Thursday October 8th on NZRun.com 
• You must be able to receive personally, or have a representative present to receive the book at the National Road Relay After Party in Christchurch on October 10th.
