...and the home straight photos of the race between Ariana Harper and Kara McDiarmid suggest that was also a great race last weekend. |

Yeah, busy weekend for Wgtn with the Silverstream mile on Fri, chapter two of the Wgtn champs on Sat and RTB on Sun. The St Pat's fundraiser on Friday is a great initiative and I hope it goes well, but I also hope it doesn't draw runners away from the centre champs at Newtown the next day? Is it just Nick and his crew running on Friday, or some locals as well? Anyway, I'm looking forward to some of the match-ups at all three meets - hopefully I'll get to see at least two of the three. I didn't see the 800s last week but by the look of the photos a rematch between Cooper and Justice would be another cracker. |

Rats, Aotea Quay offramp was going to be one of the new routes in the second edition of the Runner's Guide to Wellies! But I can confirm that he wasn't carrying out research for the book. |

Wanted: 'Sponsors' to provide basic household items for my training partners Will Leer, Lee Emanuel, Brandon Bethke, Craig Huffer for their 10 week training stint in Lower Hutt, NZ. We are renting them an unfurnished house, as furnished are hard to come by, and do not have enough supplies ourselves to equip them. |

I'm all sorted with a physio now. Thanks for your comments, it's definately helpful having a bit of guidance about where to go etc. |

Sarah, Inge Bahle is the Physio for the Royal NZ Ballet so knows her lower leg stuff. I have found her to be excellent, and easier to get in to see compared to Capital Sports Med. She is based at Te Aro Physio on Courtney Place. - dc |

I was waiting for Athletics NZ to actually report the 10,000m result from the weekend, but as the performance of our fastest 1/2 and full marathoner of 2011 seems to have gone unnoticed, here goes: |

Will that be three DC Disciples or will DC himself also be running? WWDCD? Is Hamish running so I can can finally see the showdown I anticipated last year - the whole of a Team DC wolf-pack working together to try to box Carson in? |

I'm right looking forward to Scottish Night of Miles I am. Who is running? Big turnout? Should I be trying to trail along at the back of the senior men's mile or is it going to be good enough to be worth watching and cheering from the the stands? |

Yay, election campaigns are over now so I can focus a little bit on running again. Anyone got a Sunday morning run planned that I can tag along on? |

OK, seems we have a 5.20pm 10,000m on Saturday at Newtown. V keen to get a few more starters so the officials feel loved. Could be a surprise starter worth showing up for.If the surprise starter is able to make it, I predict a best time for a senior man on NZ soil for 2011!! |

Liam, the system in Wellington is that if you are a member of one of the big clubs who pay a bulk levy then there is no fee, otherwise I think it's $5 - dc |
